WOW!! I am so excited for this new year! 2022 was a mixed bag. I had an amazing year with my business but it was a very challenging year personally. Since the beginning of 2022 I am now on 4 new venue's "preferred vendor" lists, I have met some amazing people both in my clients and new vendors I've worked with and I have been able to better balance my home and work -life balance.
In the midst of my business accomplishments came some family struggles. I had a very significant loss this year. My father died somewhat unexpectedly. He became very ill with pneumonia in early November and spent the last month of his life in the hospital. My parents live in Illinois and so I have spent a lot of time there since then. He passed away on December 7th and I have been doing my best to help my mom from afar as she learns to live her life without her partner of 52 years. I can't even imagine what that must be like.
All of this to say that life is a mixed bag! There are always both wonderful and challenging things that come at the same time, it seems. We have the challenges to remind us that we can't do everything on our own, we need God and others to hold us up when things get tough. We have the blessings to remind us that God loves us more than we will ever know! We need both to keep us centered and humble.
I LOVE what I do! I LOVE my couples! And, most importantly, I LOVE the fact that God's love never fails, never ever! Here's to 2023!!
